Neil's extensive legal career spans over 40 years and includes significant experience with two of the country’s top-tier law firms, and a partnership in the property division of a leading multinational law firm. Neil has extensive expertise in all areas of property, commercial and estate-related legal practice and has earned a reputation among clients and fellow lawyers as one of Sydney’s leading property and commercial law experts.
Neil’s superior knowledge, technical skills and commercial acumen allow him to assess his clients’ needs quickly and identify and implement concise, effective solutions. He is the trusted legal adviser to a far reaching network of sophisticated public and private clients.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
chris dalton, principal
Chris started his legal career at Allens in Sydney, where he gained considerable experience in both mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation. He later joined the corporate advisory team at Gilbert + Tobin where he developed a targeted skill set working on high profile projects and transactions in the energy and resources sector, and was also heavily involved in the associated private equity and capital markets deals. His corporate advisory focus has since expanded to include commercial property, employment law and financial services, and in addition to general advisory and transactional work he advises on a number of litigious and non-litigious commercial disputes. He works very closely with a panel of experienced barristers and has developed a diverse client base which includes investment houses, entrepreneurs, large scale developers, major private property owners, listed entities and high net worth individuals.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of Public Policy (with Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh.
karen healey, SENIOR lawyer
Karen has been a lawyer for over three decades and with Matthews Solicitors since 1999. Karen specialises in both residential and commercial conveyancing, probate, wills and estates. She regularly acts on large scale off-the-plan transactions and is an expert on all areas of residential property matters.
For a number of years Karen also taught legal procedures at TAFE.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Dilek was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in New South Wales in December 2004. She has vast commercial property experience in both private practice and as senior in-house legal counsel.
Dilek has acted for both corporate and government clients on a wide range of commercial property matters. She has the expertise to assist clients on matters including the acquisition and disposal of commercial and industrial properties, property due diligence, commercial, retail and industrial leasing and all other general property work.
Dilek holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University.
